VIDEO NET SERVICES is located at the Long Island Technology Center, one of the most technologically equipped buildings in the entire New York metropolitan area. Our building is one of the first to have access to an OC-48 Internet Protocol Back-bone. We specialize in multimedia hosting, and as such, have designed our servers to the unique demands of streaming multimedia. This results in an exceptional customer experience. 

 VIDEO NET SERVICES is running Window NT and IIS with Real Server G2 and Windows Media server. These are true media servers, which provide for an enhanced viewing experience. Our server farm is situated in a raised floor environment that is temperature and humidity controlled and consists of state-of-the-art multiprocessor servers. For failsafe redundant operation, RAID disk arrays/power supplies/processors and the server units themselves are clustered, and content is replicated for redundancy. All systems components, drive arrays, controllers, busses and interfaces were selected with high bandwidth performance in mind. We serve our video off of Exodus Communication Corporations backbone. Encoding
VIDEO NET SERVICES encoding services are designed for the demands of both broadband and dial-up connections. We will meticulously encode your source multimedia content. During the encoding process, we will tweak, edit and sweeten your content from its current form into an acceptable delivery standard for the Internet. VIDEO NET SERVICES can accept virtually all source tapes (including 1”, Beta SP, DVCam, MiniDV, S-VHS, VHS, Hi8, ¾” U-Matic SP, etc.) and encode your content into Real, Microsoft Windows Media or QuickTime streaming formats in addition to AVI, Mpeg/Jpeg formats. The quality of the original content is very important, so provide us with the best original source possible.

 VIDEO NET SERVICES uses the latest, highest quality codecs available. It may take us longer to encode your content but we know it's worth it. We select the individual codec based on the characteristics of the audio and video you are encoding and the intended delivery bit rate. You will SEE and HEAR the difference. Once your data is encoded, we can return the finished product to you via CD, FTP (for smaller sized clips), or host and serve it on our high-speed, high-bandwidth servers.
