1. How can I adjust the video stream window?
If your using RealPlayer, place your cursor over the streaming video, right mouse click and select Zoom. Choose the desired size from the selection box. In some cases you can also drag a corner.
If your using Window Media Player, place your cursor over the streaming video, right mouse click and select either Full Screen or Zoom. The Zoom
option allows you to resize to 50%, 100% or 200%. In some cases you can also drag a corner.
If your using QuickTime player, place your cursor at the bottom right-hand corner of the player and drag it to your desired size.
2. Why can't I get any sound? I know my sound card works?
Make sure you don't have another sound device open, because it may interfere with the sound coming from the
MediaMail, HookStream or BrandBox demonstrations. Also,
try double clicking the sound icon at the bottom right corner of your
task bar. Make sure the wave and volume outputs are turned on and turned up.
3. Why can't I see the video?
This probably means you don't have the proper plug-in(s) installed. Our presentations require you to have
RealPlayer (G2 Player or higher), Windows Media Player (Version 6.0 or higher) or
QuickTime Player (Version 4.0 or higher) on your system. If
necessary, you can download these plug-ins for free by clicking on the
links below. Also, make sure you've selected the proper bandwidth stream for video delivery. For example, don't select a
250kb stream if you are on a dial up connection.

4. Do I need any special software to view your sample clips?
You will need Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher or Netscape Navigator
4.0 or higher to view the presentations.
HookStream is designed to be viewed with a minimum monitor resolution of 800 x
600 and MediaMail requires Adobe Acrobat Reader 4.0 to print our
coupon. The Adobe Acrobat plug-in can be downloaded for free by clicking
on the link below. If you are viewing streaming video for the first time,
visit the RealNetworks
, Microsoft
or Apple
web sites for additional
help. If you are behind a firewall, check with your network administrator for the proper transport, delivery and/or proxy settings.

5. What causes the audio or video to pause or stop during playback?
Typically this indicates the video had to re-buffer due to lower bandwidth delivery than expected. Unless you are on a dedicated line, the streaming media file can pause or stop if the necessary bandwidth requirement is lost. If this becomes troublesome you can increase the amount of video that is buffered on your computer before the video starts to play.
You can adjust the video buffer rate for each player as follows:
* in
RealPlayer8:
- open the player
- select view
- select preferences
- select connection
- under buffered play
set to
20 seconds.
* in
Windows Media Player7:
- open the player
-
select tools
- select options
- select performance
- select network buffering
set to 20
seconds.
QuickTime video is set to stream by progressive download. This means
the QuickTime Player calculates the amount of video it
needs to download before it begins to play.
If you want to view higher quality clips than your bandwidth allows you can download the entire clip
before you play it. To download the entire clip:
* in QuickTime:
- open the player
- select edit
- select preferences
- select connection speed
- click the down arrow next to connection speed
in the dialog box
- select browser plug-ins
- uncheck play movies
automatically
-
check save to disk.
- select x to close
This should help, but there is no substitute for adequate bandwidth.
